You are 5, for now.

The last time I updated your journal, well, it was a while ago and many things have changed. It's a new year, and mommy plans to keep your journal more up to date, more frequently.

1. You are 5. You will soon, in just 3 short months, be 6. I am not ready to admit that my baby is no longer a baby. We are still discussing a baby brother or sister, but you haven't quite warmed up to that idea yet. I think you like being mommy's only baby.

2. You started Kindergarten. Against every fiber of your little being, you started kindergarten. Not kicking and screaming nearly as bad as mommy, but you did your fair share of meltdowns. We have made it through the first semester, barely, but we made it.

3. We moved. And I am pretty sure you are still mad at us. That's all.

4. You are a big cousin now. You have 2 twin girl cousins and another baby cousin will be here this year. You are a great big cousin. You tell everyone you have 2 baby sisters, and I have to quickly correct you before the general public gets the impression that I have 2 more babies that I leave at home, all.the.time.

5. You have proved in this last year that you are real, I mean really a real tiny human. You are a real little boy, with real genuine emotions. You have a tender heart and you need to be heard. I think everyone at your Elementary school has learned that you have a voice that needs to be heard and mommy & Jay are quickly learning that you must express your emotions. You have been through a mountain of things in your 5 years. I pray the next 5 years are a little calmer for you.

TJP - I pray that in 2015 your little light shines bright, that your dreams become reality and your heart becomes full of joy, all over again.

Love,
Mommy

We finished our last season with the Renegades Baseball Team.

You liked this little pumpkin in the patch.

Your little grin, I love it most.

You are a great big cousin.
