You are 5, for now.

The last time I updated your journal, well, it was a while ago and many things have changed. It's a new year, and mommy plans to keep your journal more up to date, more frequently.

1. You are 5. You will soon, in just 3 short months, be 6. I am not ready to admit that my baby is no longer a baby. We are still discussing a baby brother or sister, but you haven't quite warmed up to that idea yet. I think you like being mommy's only baby.

2. You started Kindergarten. Against every fiber of your little being, you started kindergarten. Not kicking and screaming nearly as bad as mommy, but you did your fair share of meltdowns. We have made it through the first semester, barely, but we made it.

3. We moved. And I am pretty sure you are still mad at us. That's all.

4. You are a big cousin now. You have 2 twin girl cousins and another baby cousin will be here this year. You are a great big cousin. You tell everyone you have 2 baby sisters, and I have to quickly correct you before the general public gets the impression that I have 2 more babies that I leave at home, all.the.time.

5. You have proved in this last year that you are real, I mean really a real tiny human. You are a real little boy, with real genuine emotions. You have a tender heart and you need to be heard. I think everyone at your Elementary school has learned that you have a voice that needs to be heard and mommy & Jay are quickly learning that you must express your emotions. You have been through a mountain of things in your 5 years. I pray the next 5 years are a little calmer for you.

TJP - I pray that in 2015 your little light shines bright, that your dreams become reality and your heart becomes full of joy, all over again.

Love,
Mommy

We finished our last season with the Renegades Baseball Team.

We spent Halloween at the race track.

You liked this little pumpkin in the patch.

Your little grin, I love it most.

You are a great big cousin.

My Heart Beats for You.

My heart is full. My cup runneth over.

The simple things in life such as your smile, your giggle, your wild imagination; fills my heart with joy. You make my heart beat.

You are the single best reminder each day of what life is all about. Being a mother is a gift, a true blessing, and I am one blessed mother.

The love I have for you runs deeper than I could have ever imagined. From the day those two pink lines showed up, I knew my life was forever changed. I often wonder what I did without you. I can't remember life before you, I can only imagine it was very boring, and quiet.

I often wonder what life with more of you will be like. The time is coming and soon you will have siblings. I am praying for one more bio sibling for you and for the Lord to bless us with a child who needs us.

I know you will love having a sibling, lately you ask for them more than you ever have. I don't think you realize they will start as a baby, and your not quite fond of babies. "They are too loud." I think you think all siblings should come out at the age your cousins Sarah & Coleman are. And well, it just doesn't work like that.

Your joy of life, so much like your father's, reminds me that in the grand scheme of things, there is much to be excited about.

I love you and your joy of life, son. Never loose that fire! You make my heart beat.

Love, Mom.

Gentle Zoo {Photo Dump}

June 2013. The Pendleton's came to visit us and we went to the Gentle Zoo in Forney, a really small petting zoo. It was a muddy mess and the animals were stinky but we managed to have a good time anyway!

Swim School 2013 {Photo Dump}

You returned to swim school at Aqua Tots in Rockwall this summer. You went for six weeks and you are now swimming like a fish! I am so proud of you and how brave you are in the water!

Easter 2013 {Photo Dump}

This year mommy shared her birthday with Easter. We went to church, had a BBQ lunch with papa & gigi, granny, aunt cindy, sarah and coleman. Then hunted eggs in the rain and while fighting off bumble bees.
