We took Jacob to his 1 month check up today and he is growing like crazy! He is now 8 pounds, 10.5 ounces and 21.5 inches long! Just a big boy! Dr. Byington said that he was still perfect in every way!
The next doctors visit is not going to go so well and mommy is not going to like it. He will be getting his first round of shots in a month and until then I am going to try really hard to mentally prepare myself for it. Travis will be in Arizona working and I will be handling this alone, not to mention that I will be back to work by this time and have to leave him after they stab him with all those nasty needles.
I finally booked our first pictures as a family. The weather had been so nasty here since we got the okay from Dr. Byington to get him out that I was still afraid to get him out for too long. A friend of mine had a baby boy 2 weeks after Jacob was born and they had their pictures done last weekend. After seeing them I immediately booked our photo shoot! We take our first family photos on May 8th and I can hardly wait!
Travis is getting ready to leave for his summer work in Arizona and I am preparing myself to go back to work and finish the school year with my lovely 6th and 7th graders. I still have about another month home with Jacob before I have to go back but I would really rather not return at all. Good thing its only 9 days and then we get 3 months to play :) Travis is trying to work out his schedule to be home every other weekend for 3-4 days so that we can all play as a family! Yah...summer time and the living is easy......
