Our precious little man is getting so big, it is just amazing how fast he has grown. He still looks like the spitting image of his father and they still share the same facial features...to the T (literately). We are testing the waters with formula now since I am apparently not producing enough milk to keep up with his eating habits therefore leaving him unsatisfied and unable to sleep. He is now getting 12 oz of formula and only having breast milk via bottles, not via breast. As long has he is able to eat his whole 4 oz without having to work for it, he seems to do much better. Especially in the middle of the night; 10 minute feedings are much nicer than 40 minute feedings! He is doing really well with the combination of breast milk and formula. Right now we are sticking to only 12 oz (3 bottles) of formula a day, the rest is breast milk. Hopefully he will continue to get satisfied this way and continue to sleep for 3-4 hours at a time, which is wonderful!!!
Travis is currently in Arizona. He has started his work there for the summer. He is having a hard time being away but he enjoys flying and working with his dad. He has planned to come home every other weekend and on special days (Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Our Anniversary) so that should help with his home sickness. We are still waiting to hear about jobs with the Fire dept, Police dept, or Troopers, God please be with us in this journey!
I am gearing up to get all my "ducks" in a row before heading back to work. Thank God I will be going back after the TAKS testing is complete and I only have to go for a week :) I return to the doctor on Tuesday for my first postpartum check up and hopefully everything has recovered well and I can return to normal activity. Especially working out, Travis bought me a Wii Fit for my birthday and I have been dying to use it!
The little fella and I have a busy week ahead of us. Tomorrow we have to finish up some errands, Tuesday mommy goes to the doctor, Wednesday daddy comes home, Thursday we get all of our stuff ready for our pictures and Friday we are taking our first family pictures! I can't wait!
